Improving Long-Range Passing
Long-range passing is a skill that can change the course of a match by switching play or finding a teammate in open space. To practice, set up targets like cones or small goals at various distances across the field. Start by striking the ball with your instep, focusing on accuracy and technique.
Gradually increase the distance and add a moving target, like a teammate running onto the pass. Practice lofted passes, driven balls, and chip passes to cover different scenarios. Incorporate a partner who can challenge you by intercepting poorly placed passes, forcing you to refine your technique and decision-making.
